Jamie and ITU

Jamie had a race this last weekend. I couldn't be prouder of how hard she worked to get to this race. Training while also coaching the SDSU Club Water Polo Team that she took to National's and working full time. She improved her biking skills a lot and got faster on the run. After the race I even heard her say "it was awesome going that fast" when talking about going down hill. Six months ago she would have never said he liked flying down hill at 39MPH. Congrats Jamie, love you. Video below.

After her race that afternoon we went to see the ITU (International Triathlon Union) Race that was an American Olympic Qualifier. It was an incredible race. The pro's race Olympic Distance draft legal so they go 100% the entire time with pushes to the front and a whole different race strategy than just pacing at 90% like the rest of us "age groupers". Pictures from that to come later.

Orange County Triathlon next weekend. Complete taper this week, taking it nice and easy until the race.
